Synopsis Of OD Activities(Survey)

The Diagnostic tool in finding the problem of an Organization : Survey is a basic tool in diagnosing an organization. This is a base line survey helps in the development of strategic plan. The objective of survey is to locate the problem area and to take the measures accordingly. Research or survey conducted in three phases.

Data Collection : One way of doing the job by directly interviewing the people at all levels in an organization. A set of questionnaire both structured and unstructured had been used for the particular activities. The outcome of the data processing helps in finding out the problem prevailed in the organization.

Expert Opinion : Second way of conducting a survey by experts in particular field. The experts through their observation tries to identify the problems in an organization or they try to locate the loop holes of a particular activity. Like Quality Coordinator tries to find out the present status of an organization special reference to Acceptable Quality Level ( AQL).

Documentation : At the final stage of survey, we use equipment's like still cameras, Audio Video equipment's for documentation to be used in describing the situation. These documents will also be used in the training program of the said company.

Ultimately survey, leads to identify and diagnose the trouble areas so that a right strategy and methods of implementation can be followed to transform a company to a more profitable and efficient.
